Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. – Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV

Hi Friends,

Thanks for visiting By His Grace today, I am so glad that you are here! I am a busy wife and mom living in a fallen world in need of a bunch of grace! Which is why I named my blog: By His Grace, where I share devotions on Christian Living, Motherhood, Marriage, Homeschooling, Hospitality and anything else the Lord is teaching me at the time.

I am an author, blogger, and speaker who is passionate about inspiring women to live authentically for Jesus!

God called me home from my corporate job at Enron in 1999 to devote myself fulltime to being a wife and mom. Shortly after I began to homeschool my boys, and thus began an adventure of a lifetime, but have almost worked my self out of a job. I began writing, blogging, and speaking in preparation for the next season in my life after asking God what was next for me after homeschooling.

Life has not always been easy, but God has always been there to see me through. Through the years at home devoted to my family, I have learned many valuable lessons through Bible Study, days spent mothering, homeschooling, being a loving wife and have gained a lot of wisdom that I hope to impart through the posts here.

I am passionate about seeking Jesus, loving the word, and growing in grace! He is everything Y’all! And it is by his grace that we are here to draw another breath each day. Everything is for Him, and by Him and through Him!

I live in the suburbs just north of Houston, Texas with the love of my life Peter and our boys. I am one lucky girl because Peter treats me like a queen. We are part of an amazing church Champion Forest Baptist Church and the Biblical-literacy class.

When I am not online, my days are filled with loving my husband, raising and educating my boys, studying my Bible, encouraging friends, writing and blogging, cooking yummy healthy meals, honing my hospitality skills and feathering my nest. You will often find me with a good cup of coffee or tea in my hands and a book nearby. I love having a house full of people and am always inviting friends and family into our home.

Welcome to my little slice of the web, I hope you will make yourself at home while you are here and if you ever have questions or need prayer please reach out to me through my contact information.

Much Love,  Misty
