On this episode of the By His grace podcast, Misty Phillip has an uplifting conversation with Matt Brown, Founder of Think Eternity. They discuss the mission of think Eternity, what it means to walk in truth and loves exercising the fruit of the Spirit. Matt Brown shares powerful faith content to help people find fulfillment in God. Matt’s mission at Think Eternity through four key focuses: powerful faith content, digital missions, outreach, and impacting young influencers.
Matt Brown came to Christ at an early age. He shares one of his early memories in life was his mom leading him to the Lord, and he sensed the call to ministry at an early age. In his last year of high school, at a youth conference, he felt God speaking very specifically to him about being an evangelist. His role as an evangelist is to take the gospel’s message to people outside the church to those who need to hear it the most. Matt went to Bible college and then began to travel and preach. Later Matt founded Think Eternity to help people who don’t believe in Jesus yet are outside the church find incredible fulfillment in Jesus. To encourage people to live that abundant life that God has called them to amid the chaos of this world.
Key Takeaways
“Well, the biggest thing obviously is sharing the scripture because there’s nothing like the word of God, and no thought I’ll ever come up with will be as good or even close to.”
“You know, being in the scripture myself and sharing that and then just allowing the Lord to speak to me about the things that are going on in my life.”
“So just through the every day of life, you know, as God just puts things in my heart, you know from his word just thoughts encouragements and just sharing those widely.”
“A lot of challenges for our generation that come with being kind of the first generation to know what to do.”
“There’s this amazing opportunity for the gospel. There’s this amazing opportunity for encouragement, and I can tell you, I don’t think the world can ever get enough encouragement, so it’s kind of sharing encouragement and hope, but also with the truth of God.”
“The Bible very clearly defines love, not love according to our generation, not love according to this culture of that culture.
But love, according to God’s word, is the kind that keeps no record of wrongs. It’s not self-seeking. It’s not easily angered, and you can go down the list of first Corinthians 13.”
“Not understanding this and grasping what it really means to look like Jesus, that part of that is being kind part of that is being gentle according to the fruit of the spirit and the fruit.”
“God works in our life.”
“Influence for the sake of the truth, it gives us influence for the gospel, but it’s important not just to walk in love and joy and peace, but to carry God’s truth as well.
“I really feel like the love is what will draw people.”
“It’s what God is going to use to just make the gospel so sticky in people’s lives.”
“He’s calling you to something. He has a greater plan in store for you, and that’s what every single one of us needs to hear.”
