Cheryl K Chumley: Socialism America’s Greatest Enemy

Cheryl K Chumley: Socialism America’s Greatest Enemy

On this episode of the By His Grace Podcast, I sit down with Cheryl K Chumley to discuss socialism and it’s great threat to our democracy, and our way of life. My guest today Cheryl K Chumley has sounded the alarm in her book Socialists Don’t Sleep – Christians Must Rise or America Will Fall. We discuss the rise of socialism in our educational institutions, Critical race theory, and what we can do as believers to fight against this tyranny.

“In this blunt assessment of the deep danger America is facing from the left, award-winning journalist, Washington Times columnist, and best-selling author Cheryl K Chumley exposes all of the sneaky ways the secular left has pressed socialism into American politics in life — why Christians are the only one who can stop it. At stake are the freedoms Americans cherish, unless we act now. The great hope for this nation lies and going back to the founding principles of America – Christian principles.” from the inside jacket of Socialists Don’t Sleep

Cheryl K. Chumley is an author, commentary writer, podcast host and the online opinion editor for The Washington Times. In addition to writing daily commentaries on politics, Cheryl hosts a twice-weekly podcast that looks at news, politics and culture from a Christian, conservative perspectve. It’s called “Bold and Blunt,” it’s available on Spotify, Apple, other podcast hosting sites — and at The Washington Times.

Cheryl’s an in-demand public speaker and media guest, passionate about topics related to Christianity and the country’s Judeo-Christian roots, the Constitution, politics and policy, United Nations and sovereignty issues, Congress and Capitol Hill – pretty much anything that lends itself to exposing those matters that run counter to freedom, biblical principles and the preservation of America as the greatest country the world’s ever seen.

What Others Are Saying About SOCIALISTS DON”T SLEEEP:

  • Rep. Jody Hice, R-Georgia: ” Socialists Don’t Sleep … is a masterpiece …”
  • Will Witt, PragerU personality: “Socialists Don’t Sleep is an important read …”
  • Phil Robertson, Duck Dynasty: “… Thank you, Cheryl Chumley, for writing this book …”
  • Michael Savage, radio icon: “… As Cheryl points out … we can’t root out socialism unless we first address the real problems.”
  • Mike Huckabee, former governor: “Socialists Don’t Sleep is one of those timely books …”
  • Cal Thomas, sydicated columnist: “… In her new book, Cheryl Chumley reminds us … [i]t’s not too late, but the hour is late.”
  • Kevin and Sam Sorbo, Hollywood personalities: “If you think socialism will inevitably lose at the polls, think again! As Cheryl shows … the far left — in both political parties — has been eroding our freedoms for decades. …”
  • And more!

Key Takeaway

“If America is to be free, America needs Christians to get louder” – Cheryl K. Chumley

On this episode of By His Grace, I interview Chris Wall. Chris is the co-founder of Shining Isle Productions. On this episode, we discuss the new animated series “Wing Feather Saga,” and the books that go along with it. We also discuss the importance of telling stories in a way that engages children, provokes their imaginations, and shares the truth of the gospel message with them. We discuss the necessity of having wholesome, Christian entertainment that is suitable for the whole family. Chris shares how listeners of this podcast can support this project.

Chris Wall

Chris Wall is an influential creator of kids-and-family, faith-infused content. Before creating Shining Isle Productions in 2015 to develop and produce faith content with an entertainment first strategy, Chris spent over a decade collaborating with industry leaders at Dreamworks Animation and Big Idea producing the direct-to-video VeggieTales CG animated movies. That included the wildly successful “Wonderful Wizard of Ha’s,” “Saint Nicholas” and “Noah’s Ark” and 13 other productions. During that time, he also oversaw the multi-national team to create new 20x22min episodes of “3-2-1 Penguins” CG animated series for NBC/Qubo. These titles have been enjoyed by millions of families, generating millions in revenue.

Chris began working in kids and family material with Max Lucado’s “You Are Special” direct-to-video series in 1999, where he served as editor and voice of the beleaguered character Punchinello. He went on to join Big Idea in 2004, bringing VeggieTales movies to life.

He partnered with Andrew Peterson to adapt the fantasy novels “The Wingfeather Saga” beginning with a critically applauded short film released in 2017. He is also the creator/showrunner for the acclaimed 26x22min kids-and-family, puppet, live-action series, “The Slugs & Bugs Show,” which renewed for a second season and released in early 2021.

Chris is passionate about creating content that will serve families with stories of truth and beauty. He lives in Franklin, TN, with his wife and six children and when he’s not producing, you will often see him in a scout uniform, working with countless youth in multiple volunteer roles with Scouts BSA.

Rachael Flick: Defunding the Police is a Terrible Idea

Rachael Flick: Defunding the Police is a Terrible Idea

On this episode of the By His Grace podcast, I interview Rachael Flick. One thing that is unmistakable for anyone who meets Rachael, or hears her speak, is her passion. Growing up, Rachael dreamed of being a doctor. While her educational path diverged from medicine, Rachael continued to support wellness journeys for others as a high school P.E. teacher and a personal trainer.

Tragically, Rachael lost her husband of ten years on February 5, 2018. Deputy Sheriff Micah Flick was killed in the line of duty while attempting to arrest a car thief. On the day of Micah’s funeral, Rachael stood before thousands of uniformed police and a globally streamed audience to call a broken nation to a return to honoring. Filled with the power of God, Rachael spoke into the highly charged cultural conflict that has resulted in the intentional murder of law enforcement.

Rachael’s Story

Rachael and I discuss her profound loss, the redemption that the Lord brought forth out of her dark season, how we, as citizens, can counter anti-police rhetoric, and how she found hope amid hardship.

Key Takeaways

  • “I felt the tangible touch of God on my chest.”
  • “You will be obedient, and you will speak what I say for you to say.”
  • “80 to 90 percent of law enforcement encounters occur with 10 to 20 percent of the population.”
  • “The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world.”
  • “The police don’t want to be the bad guy to your children.”
  • “The power of the empathetic presence is healing.”

Hormoz Shariat: Iran’s Great Awakening to Jesus

Hormoz Shariat: Iran’s Great Awakening to Jesus

On this episode of By His Grace, I sit down with evangelist and pastor, Hormoz Shariat on the expo floor of  The National Religious Broadcast Convention. Hormoz was born into a Muslim family in Iran and came to the United States after the Islamic Revolution of 1979, where he came to Christ while earning his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. He is the founder of Alive Ministries and he is passionate about bringing the truths contained within scripture to muslims in Iran and around the world.

As the fastest growing Christian community in the world, Iran is at a crossroads.  Iran is no longer a Muslim nation – as only 1/3 of the population identifies as Muslim.  It is facing incredible changes internally, and now the government is facing increased pressure to negotiate with the US and Israel.
Dr. Shariat grew up in Iran, chanting “death to America.” He had a revelation after moving to the US to get his Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and accepted Christ. After his teenage brother was executed by the government in Iran, God showed Dr. Shariat that the best way to respond was to dedicate his life to sharing the Gospel with as many Iranians as possible.

We discussed the work that Hormoz is doing to bring the gospel to Iran, the impact that the Lord is having on the people and nation of Iran, and the ways that He is changing the cultural and religious climate of the country. In this episode, we also discuss ways that Christians in America can practically help those who are being persecuted.

Key Takeaways

  • “Jesus is not the prophet that Islam introduces.”
  • “The message of the gospel is the answer to all kinds of problems.”
  • “Jesus came to heal and to set free.”
  • “All muslims are not the same.”
  • “In a practical way, show interest in their beliefs.”
